FryDay Featured on KTLA 5 as an Official Vendor at the First-Ever Los Angeles French Fry Festival

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — VAN NUYS, CA. Big news, LA: FryDay is going to the first-ever Los Angeles French Fry Festival — and KTLA 5 just told the whole city about it. Our hometown food truck, born and raised in Van Nuys, was featured on KTLA 5 News as one of the official vendors bringing the heat to the inaugural fry celebration landing at the Autry Museum of the American West on Saturday, July 11, 2026. Watch the segment here: The First-Ever Los Angeles French Fry Festival Is Coming to the Autry Museum (KTLA 5).

For a food truck that started slinging gourmet loaded fries out of the San Fernando Valley back on the Fourth of July, 2019, this is the kind of moment you dream about. The Los Angeles French Fry Festival is the first event of its kind in California, and FryDay is proud to be standing shoulder to shoulder with some of the best chefs, trucks, and fry fanatics in the city.

A Van Nuys Food Truck on the KTLA 5 Stage

When KTLA 5 spotlighted the first-ever Los Angeles French Fry Festival, they were talking about a full day devoted to the humble potato done every possible way — shoestring, waffle, curly, crinkle-cut, steak fries, tornado potato, poutine, sweet potato, Cajun, and yes, outrageously loaded creations. That last category is where FryDay lives and breathes.

Being named as a featured vendor on a broadcast that reaches millions of Angelenos is more than a marketing win — it is a hometown validation. We have spent years earning our reputation one loaded fry at a time, from backyard quinceaneras in the Valley to some of the biggest stages in the region. Getting the KTLA 5 nod puts FryDay right where we have always wanted to be: in front of LA, representing the neighborhoods that raised us.

What Is the Los Angeles French Fry Festival?

Presented by Street Food Cinema, the first annual Los Angeles French Fry Festival takes over the Autry Museum of the American West at 4700 Western Heritage Way on Saturday, July 11, 2026. The festival runs across three sessions — an early session from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., an afternoon session from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m., and an evening session from 6 to 9 p.m. — so there is a window for every kind of fry lover.

Expect fry-eating contests, live cooking demonstrations, and a lineup of vendors serving everything from classic golden fries to loaded showstoppers. General admission starts at $30.03 including fees, with VIP areas reserved for guests 21 and up. It is a citywide celebration of the one food that unites every neighborhood, and FryDay is honored to be part of the very first chapter.

The FryDay Flavors Coming to the Autry

So what are we bringing to the Autry? The flavors that made us an LA favorite. Our Nashville Hot Chicken Loaded Fries deliver that fiery, buttermilk-brined crunch. Our Caribbean Jerk Loaded Fries take your taste buds on a trip without leaving Los Angeles. Our Mango Habanero Loaded Fries balance sweet and heat the way only FryDay does it, and our BBQ Bacon Loaded Fries bring the smoky comfort that keeps the line moving all day long.

These are not just menu items — they are the flavors we have served at NBA All-Star Weekend, the LA Dodgers Divisional Playoffs, the BET Fan Experience, LA Galaxy games, UCLA events, and countless LAUSD school functions. The Los Angeles French Fry Festival is the perfect place to taste why LA keeps coming back.

From the Valley to the Whole City

FryDay has always been a community-first operation. We are proud of our San Fernando Valley roots, and we have built this brand by showing up for Van Nuys, Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, Sherman Oaks, and every corner of Los Angeles that has ever waved us down. Being featured on KTLA 5 for the first annual Los Angeles French Fry Festival is a reminder of how far a food truck with big flavor and bigger heart can go.

If you have been meaning to try FryDay, July 11 at the Autry Museum is your moment. Come find us, grab a loaded fry, and celebrate the food that brings all of LA to the same table.
